ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- On the horizon of the primary elections in Georgia, State Representative Renitta Shannon's campaign announced today the endorsement of actress and political activist, Angelica Love Ross. The influential actress is known for her breakthrough roles on FX's Emmy Award winning shows Pose and American Horror Story. Ross, a Black trans woman, has been a prominent figure in the LGBTQ+ community, launching TransTech Social Enterprises in 2014 and is known for advocating for voting rights and civic engagement.

A vocal supporter of Representative Shannon, she shared a video via her official Twitter page endorsing Representative Shannon as the person she trusts most to protect Black, brown, and LGBTQ+ Georgians.

"I am happy to endorse State Representative, @RenittaShannon (https://twitter.com/RenittaShannon), for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia! Renitta understands how to protect Black queer women, and all of the LGBTQ+ community. Join me in supporting Renitta Shannon in this year's election!"
