ATLANTA, July 15, 2024 ~ The University of Georgia's Latino Alumni Council has recently welcomed a new member to its ranks. Carlos Vazquez, the esteemed Marketing Coordinator at Alliance Group, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the council from July 2024 to July 2026.
The University of Georgia Alumni Association expressed their congratulations to Carlos, recognizing his exceptional dedication to the university and his eagerness to represent the UGA community. His selection for this prestigious council highlights his commitment to fostering connections among UGA alumni and advancing the university's mission.
In response to his election, Carlos Vazquez stated, "Being elected to the University of Georgia's Latino Alumni Council is a tremendous honor for me. Carlos joins an esteemed group of individuals serving on one of UGA's four Affinity Councils: the Black Alumni Leadership Council, the Latino Alumni Council, the Women of UGA, and the Young Alumni Leadership Council. These councils play a vital role in building a vibrant community among specific alumni populations by promoting engagement and support for the university.
In his new role, Carlos will have the opportunity to utilize his talents, insights, and passion towards initiatives that enrich the UGA experience for all Latino alumni.
