SAVANNAH, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- Oliver Maner, one of Savannah, Georgia's most prestigious law firms, is proud to announce that Amelia Stevens has been selected to be a part of the Leadership Savannah Class of 2025, comprised of 50 hand-picked individuals. Leadership Savannah seeks to inspire individual leadership growth by providing learning experiences that lead to a better understanding of our community and preparation for meeting present and future challenges. Each class is made up of a representation from a cross-section of the community, including those active in business, education, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations and ethnic and minority groups, and reflects the diversity of the Savannah community.

At Oliver Maner, Stevens focuses on municipal liability, public entity law and correctional defense litigation. Within these areas, she consistently demonstrates a high level of expertise and adeptly navigates her clients' complex legal challenges. Her success in these areas reflects her sharp legal mind and her ability to think creatively and strategically — invaluable qualities in today's ever-evolving legal landscape.
Originally from Darien, Georgia, Stevens graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy and Management. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, Stevens spent a summer interning with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Office of Aviation and Admiralty Litigation in Washington, D.C. The following summer, she worked as an associate with Oliver Maner and clerked for a Superior Court Judge with the Brunswick Judicial Circuit.

Stevens completed a fellowship through the Georgia Sea Grant Legal Program at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government and co-authored "Promoting Coastal Resilience through Partnerships and Planning: Communities, Sea Grant Programs, SERPPAS, and Military Installations" in the Sea Grant Law & Policy Journal (Vol. 10:2). She was recently recognized as an honoree for the "On The Rise" 2024 Southeastern Legal Award.
Stevens' leadership extends beyond the confines of the courtroom. She is the Immediate Past President of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Savannah Chapter and an executive board member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association. Her involvement demonstrates her dedication to growth and her commitment to giving back to the legal community and paving the way for future generations of lawyers.
