ATLANTA, Oct. 31, 2024 ~ Atlanta-based home renovation company, Copper Sky Design + Remodel, has recently been awarded top honors by HGTV in their annual "Designer of the Year" competition. The company was named the Overall Winner by a panel of judges consisting of renowned designer Brian Patrick Flynn, HGTV craft and entertaining expert Marianne Canada, and past Overall Winners Cecilia Casagrande and Leah Alexander.
The winning project that caught the judges' attention was a colorful granny-chic East Atlanta Tudor. The home features unique design elements such as pink kitchen cabinets and appliances, a blue built-in dining hutch with scalloped details, and a vintage-inspired bathroom with custom mosaic floor tiles. Whimsical wallpaper can also be found throughout the house.
Lauren Fansler, Editor of HGTV.com, expressed her excitement about featuring this project in the 2024 HGTV Designer of the Year Awards. She stated that it perfectly fits into the Color + Pattern category with its bold use of color and excellent design. Fansler also mentioned that both the HGTV editors and judges panel were in agreement about selecting this project as the overall winner. She described it as a "showstopping design" that deserves recognition and admiration.

The lead designer for this project and Copper Sky's Director of Design, Micaela Quinton, shared her thoughts on what made this project stand out. She said, "This project was all about the details." Quinton also added that the entire house has a unique, fun, and cheery aesthetic.
Copper Sky has been making waves in Atlanta's design-build industry for over 20 years with their inventive and artistic designs.
