Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation Teams Ups with Georgia Natural Gas for 13th Annual Pinnacle Awards & Scholarship Gala
ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation (LHTYF) announced the 13th Annual Pinnacle Awards & Scholarship Gala on Saturday, December 2nd at the Conference Center at Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Clarkston, GA., outside of Atlanta. The event marks the organization's 13th year serving the Atlanta community while educating, empowering, and equipping children towards healthy lifestyle habits so they can avoid obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. Georgia Natural Gas teamed up with LHTYF to sponsor this extraordinary occasion.
Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation will honor professionals who exemplify outstanding career achievement and philanthropy as well as award Atlanta area high school students with $1,000 and $2,000 book scholarships for college. The 2023 Pinnacle Award honorees are: Dr. Charles Moore of Grady Health System and Emory University, Dr. Seema R. Csukas of CareSource, Dr. Dawn Aycock of Georgia State University, Scarlett Howery of Devry University, and Chef Jayson Smith of Mr. Everything Cafe.

"We are fortunate to have reached thirteen years serving Atlanta and are thrilled to honor incredible leaders and philanthropists doing exemplary work in the community. Additionally, we're proud to invest in deserving high school seniors with college scholarships," said Dr. Lori A. Manns, founder and president of LHTYF, Inc.
Sponsors of the gala include Georgia Natural Gas, Kaiser Permanente, Walmart, Clover Health and Southern Barter Club. The gala will feature a gourmet dinner buffet by Chef Kitura of All About the Minis and live entertainment by Kim Strings and Jennifer Allen. The evening will be hosted by mistress of ceremonies, Lana Harris of Atlanta News First TV and Chris Smith of News and Talk 1380 WAOK Radio.
