ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- ATLANTA, Georgia, Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to lace up their sneakers for the third annual We ♥️ Teachers 5K & 1 Mile Fun Walk on Saturday, July 27, 2024. This event will take place at the beautiful Westside Park, Atlanta's largest greenspace, and aims to support the health and wellness programs offered to teachers by Get Fit At School.
"We're delighted to host this event. For over a decade, we have been committed to providing health and wellness services to educators," said Stacy Magee, race organizer. "The race is perfectly timed for the Saturday before school starts in most metro Atlanta districts. It's a wonderful opportunity for the community to celebrate the return to school and show appreciation for educators. By promoting health and activity, we enhance educators' performance and, consequently, the quality of education. The community's energy and encouragement will be invaluable as we embark on a new school year. We hope participants leave the event inspired to continue their health journey."
