SAVANNAH, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- The Council of Magistrate Court Judges is honored to announce that Chief Magistrate Court Judge Mary Kathryn Moss has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

Chief Judge Moss is a distinguished jurist with a remarkable career dedicated to public service and the improvement of the magistrate court system in Georgia. She was sworn in as Chief Magistrate of Chatham County in 2005 and has since become a pillar within the Council.

Chief Judge Moss's achievements are numerous. In addition to her Lifetime Achievement Award, she was previously recognized by the Council as Magistrate of the Year in 2018 and Workhorse of the Year in 2011. She also served as Chair of the Magistrate Court Training Council, ensuring consistency and quality in judicial education programs.
