COLUMBUS, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- Versandra Kennebrew a Columbus, Georgia businesswoman and author who joined Toastmasters to enhance her public speaking in 2016 has been elected to serve as District 14 Toastmasters Club Growth Director, 2022-2023. She joins a Toastmasters Trio that will lead nearly 130 clubs across the state of Georgia.

In her role, Kennebrew will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, club growth, and member retention efforts within the District. With Toastmasters Clubs in Atlanta, Macon, and Savannah, she is the first to be elected from Columbus, Georgia to this top position.

Kennebrew credits the Toastmasters Pathways Learning System for her success in launching a new business in Columbus, Georgia. During the global pandemic, she used the leadership lessons in the program to motivate nearly 200 members of the twelve Columbus area Toastmasters Clubs to stay focused and innovate. She achieved the highest Toastmasters education award – Distinguished Toastmaster- for the second time this year and the members she led honored her with the Toastmaster of The Year Award for her dedication and commitment to excellence.

During her tenure, she has mentored and trained members of both corporate and community clubs, she has assisted with Youth Leadership Programs, and built bridges connecting club members to the community and civic leadership.
