ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- A man with many talents, Tracey Harris is a pastor, renowned gospel singer, magazine publisher, entrepreneur and now,a successfully published author.

Fresh off the presses, the self explanatory title hit stores this week. The 153 page riveting book shares the devastating effects of domestic violence, the mindset of the people who commit these crimes and support for the survivors of this type of abuse. It will serve as a tool against the staggering statistics surrounding the deaths, hospitalization and long-term hurts that stem from being victimized.

As father with daughters, the son of God-fearing woman and an active pillar of the community, it was second nature for Dr. Harris to step forward in an effort to initiate a solution to this global epidemic.Using his platform and public image to catapult awareness, the October release date was strategically aligned with Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The man behind the pages:

Rev. Dr. Tracey R. Harris is an Atlanta based philanthropist, teacher, international worship leader, choir director, public speaker, entrepreneur and author.

He is a native of Chicago and currently serves as Associate Pastor of Mount Welcome Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, GA.

He is an esteemed  member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta organization's North Metro Chapter where he serves as Chaplain & Membership Co-Chairman. In July 2019, Rev. Harris received an Honorary Doctorate Degree and Lifetime Achievement award for his continued community service; and in September, he was appointed Chaplain by the Secretary of State of Georgia.

In celebration of his publishing debut, Dr. Harris is hosting an official book release on Sunday, October 20th at 1PM at Mt. Welcome Missionary Baptist Church; 581 Parker Rd., Decatur, GA 30032. The post-service event will include an on-site signing and an intimate meet and greet with the author and the opportunity to purchase signed copies of the book. Additional book signings will be announced via Dr. Harris' social media platforms: @GospelTribuneAtlanta on Instagram and Gospel Tribune Atlanta on Facebook.
