Historic Landmark Enhances Presence with Modern, Energy-Efficient LED Displays
MARIETTA, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- The historic Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre is excited to announce the installation of three brand-new marquee screens, enhancing the iconic landmark's presence in Marietta Square. The marquee, a stunning replica of the original 1935 design, now boasts an improved main LED screen and the addition of two new LED screens on either side, significantly enhancing image quality and visibility.
This significant upgrade was made possible through the generous support of Stephen W. Imler and the Southface Institute. Their contributions have ensured that The Strand continues to blend historic charm with modern technology, offering the community a visually captivating experience while preserving its storied past.
"We are thrilled to unveil the additions to our marquee, which not only pays homage to the original 1935 design but also embraces the latest in LED technology," said Manda Costoulas, Operations Director of the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre. "This project would not have been possible without the generous support of Stephen W. Imler and the Southface Institute, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment to the arts and our community."
