Atlanta, GA ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Brian P. Kemp revealed that SOLARCYCLE, a cutting-edge solar recycling company, will be expanding its operations in Polk County to meet the growing demand for solar panel recycling services. The company plans to invest an additional $62 million to increase its panel recycling capacity to 10 million solar panels per year and create 640 new full-time jobs.

Governor Kemp expressed his gratitude for SOLARCYCLE's decision to accelerate their expansion in northwest Georgia, stating that it will greatly benefit the region's economy. He also acknowledged the efforts of local and state partners who made this growth possible and looks forward to its impact in the years to come.

The new facility will be located across the street from SOLARCYCLE's previously announced 1.1-million-square-foot solar glass factory, which is expected to employ an additional 617 people. The factory will use recycled materials from retired solar panels from the recycling facility to produce five to six gigawatts worth of solar glass annually. This positions SOLARCYCLE as one of the first manufacturers of specialized glass for crystalline-silicon (c-Si) photovoltaics in the United States.
