NORCROSS, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- Leaders and learners from the industrial and systems engineering world will come together for the IISE Annual Conference & Expo May 31-June 3 at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center in Atlanta.
The yearly event gathers hundreds of industry practitioners, academic leaders and eager engineering students for four days of presentations, keynote presentations, panel discussions, exhibits and hands-on activities.
The conference begins with three workshops May 31 focused on cyber-informed engineering, supply chain management and building an entrepreneurial mindset from Engineering Unleashed.
Other special events include an Introduce a Girl to Industrial & Systems Engineering event featuring ISE professionals and Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta; a volunteer service project at Meals on Wheels in Sugar Hill; and an industry tour of the Lockheed Martin C-130J Factory Plant in Marietta.

Attendees of the 2024 conference in Montreal celebrated the chance to interact and share ideas with their peers.
"Interacting with students and young professionals at the conference was incredibly energizing and inspiring. Their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives remind me of the limitless potential within the next generation of leaders," said Eleke Ukpabi, president of United Strategies LLC. "It's definitely a mutually beneficial exchange that I find deeply rewarding."
"The best part is that I get to meet a lot of different people from the same industry because it's hard to meet industrial engineering people outside of school or around the campus, except for our colleagues," said Soo-Eun Kim, an Oregon State University student.
"My favorite aspect of attending the Annual Conference is not only having the opportunity to reconnect with old friends but also getting to know new friends in our ISE community," said Jianjun "Jan" Shi, a Georgia Tech professor and scheduled keynote speaker.
