There are those that may ask themselves what is the real purpose of black history month. What is the big deal about 28 days that is the shortest month out of a calendar year. Some may say its main purpose is for remembrance. A month to remember all black history, not just for the United States. According to Dr. Phillip Huckaby is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, and Vanderbilt Divinity School, The idea that has been enacted on many occasions as racial protest is for more than an integration in Caucasian society; it is an action that results would be more favorable as the development of a pluralist society. After 400 years, who knows the identity of the American Negros, and are they still considered Negro by genetics? The darker the skin the healthier as it absorbs 40 % of the life giving solar energy from the sun. So as of 2023 a new film will be released by Netflix called You People. This film's overview explains an effort to integrate two families' culture, and generational traditions. But is this the right time to focus on other cultural influences?
