New offering, 'Turning the Same Ole Corners' by Trudy Lynn features the late, great Lucky Peterson on guitar and B-3
ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- The 25th Anniversary of the Jus Blues Music Foundation is a pivotal moment for the organization as it makes strategic plans to sustain and expand efforts for future generations. The revitalization of Jus Blues Records is a key component of that strategy; an important bridge that protects blues heritage and empowers future voices to carry it forward.
Following the great success of the 25th Anniversary Legends Collection album, released April 3, a reissue of Trudy Lynn's 2002 album on Jus Blues Records (Memories of You), now titled Turning the Same Ole Corners, has been released in digital format for the first time ever. Lynn co-produced the album, which includes six of her original compositions, with Charles Mitchell. Currently available exclusively via Bandcamp, the digital album will be available on all digital platforms starting February 13, 2026.

Houston, Texas' own Trudy Lynn, the glimmering Golden Girl and living legend of the blues began her recording career with a 45 released in 1973. Later, she became a flagship artist for Ichiban Records, recorded extensively for Connor Ray Music, and is currently on the Nola Blue label. Lynn has amassed 16 Blues Music Award nominations and is a two‑time Jus Blues Award Winner. An icon of present day blues, she is joined by a link to the past, the late, great Lucky Peterson, who plays lead guitar and Hammond B-3 on the record. Today, on the eve of his birthday, we honor and remember a child prodigy who, at the tender age of five, caught the attention and mentorship of Willie Dixon. A master of blues, soul, R&B and gospel music, Peterson went on to a prolific recording and performing career before his untimely passing in 2020 at the age of 55. He was a two-time Blues Music Award nominee.

"It is a thrill to present this album in digital format for the first time," says Charles Mitchell, Founder and CEO of Jus Blues Records. "It represents the best of today's blues artists and also highlights a giant from yesterday's realm. Our next area of focus will be the future, as we prepare to unveil a career development program for the new generation of blues artists. Releasing music allows us to continue the preservation of our blues heritage while generating funding to empower future voices to continue the story and the cultural pride."
