ATLANTA, Oct. 28, 2024 ~ At the 2024 International Fresh Produce Association's Global Produce and Floral Show in Atlanta last week, Lakeview Farms made a significant impact with their generous donation of $10,000 to Wholesome Wave Georgia. The donation was made through their popular "Peppers with a Purpose" fundraising event, which was hosted by their Fresh Cravings and La Mexicana brands. Lakeview Farms' supplier, Olympica Produce Company, also participated in the event and contributed to the cause.
The "Peppers with a Purpose" event involved spinning a wheel of different peppers ranging from mild to hot. Participants would then take a bite of the selected pepper, and Lakeview Farms would donate the corresponding dollar amount. This unique and interactive fundraising approach caught the attention of many attendees at the show.
Lakeview Farms is a leading manufacturer of fresh and convenient dips, salsas, desserts, and specialty products. Their mission is to inspire compassion, amplify goodness, and celebrate unsung community heroes through their "Salsabrate the Good" initiative, which was launched in 2021. Since its inception, they have donated over $645,000 across the nation.

Tom Davis, CEO of Lakeview Farms, shared his thoughts on their philanthropic efforts: "We use the 'Salsabrate the Good' campaign to partner with like-minded organizations in service of the community. Working with Wholesome Wave Georgia allows us to ensure that fresh food is accessible to those who need it most."
Wholesome Wave Georgia is a nonprofit organization that aims to make fresh, healthy, locally-grown produce affordable and accessible to all Georgians. This not only benefits recipients but also supports local farmers. Access to nutritious food is crucial for overall health and has been shown to help decrease diet-related illnesses.
Will Sellers, Executive Director of Wholesome Wave Georgia expressed his gratitude towards Lakeview Farms: "We thank Lakeview Farms for choosing to highlight our mission at the Global Produce Show. In Georgia, over 1.4 million people are considered food-insecure, and this donation will go a long way towards helping families feed themselves."
Lakeview Farms' donation will make a significant impact on the community and support Wholesome Wave Georgia's mission.
