SOPERTON, Ga., Feb. 4, 2024 ~ On January 24, 2024, LanzaJet, a leading sustainable fuels technology company and producer, made history by opening the world's first ethanol to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production facility. The grand opening ceremony was attended by government officials, industry leaders, partners, and supporters who gathered to witness this groundbreaking achievement.
Located in Georgia, USA, the LanzaJet Freedom Pines Fuels facility is capable of producing 10 million gallons of SAF and renewable diesel per year. This production will be achieved using low carbon and certified ethanol that meets both U.S. and global standards. The facility serves as a blueprint for future SAF production and aligns with LanzaJet's goal of producing 1 billion gallons of SAF by 2030.
The CEO of LanzaJet, Jimmy Samartzis, expressed his excitement about this historic milestone.
