Latina Leader Panel and Live Audience Q&A to feature Mayor Regina Romero and UnidosUS President & CEO Janet Murguia, Hosted by Award-winning Journalist Maria Elena Salinas
WASHINGTON - GeorgiaChron -- The Latino Leaders Network will host the 34th Tribute to Mayors to honor Tucson Mayor Regina Romero with the Antonio Villaraigosa Leadership Award on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Mayor Romero made history by being elected as the first woman and first Latina mayor of Tucson, AZ in November 2019. A daughter of immigrants, she is only the second Mexican-American to be elected mayor of Tucson since 1854. Mayor Romero is the only Latina mayor among the nation's 50 largest cities.
The virtual program will feature the Latina Leader Panel and a live audience Q&A with Mayor Regina Romero and UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía, moderated by award-winning journalist Maria Elena Salinas. The virtual event will stream on Facebook Live, YouTube, and Periscope.
