DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl, the Lorraine J. Smith Foundation, in partnership with This is Jamaica and the Global Jamaica Diaspora Council Southern USA, along with the Jamaican Fire Brigade, Sunshine Women's Medical Center, Grocery List Jamaica, and EHAS Inc, is proud to announce the "Hurricane Beryl Relief: Restoring Hope, Rebuilding Futures—Back-to-School and Health Fair."
This initiative aims to provide essential back-to-school supplies, medical checkups, and mental health sessions for children in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica who are facing significant challenges due to the hurricane's destruction. With a generous donation of 1 million Jamaican dollars from the Lorraine J. Smith Foundation and other donations, this event is set to make a lasting impact on the community.
