The Macon-Bibb County Board of Commissioners met for their regularly-scheduled Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Pre-Commission started at 5 p.m. and the full Commission Meeting began at 6 p.m. The meeting was live-streamed to our Facebook page and our website at MaconBibb.us.

Old Business

The Commission voted to uphold Mayor Robert Reichert's veto of providing CARES Act funding for schools to help with virtual learning. Schools are going back to in-person learning, and we're receiving no more CARES funding from the state.

The Board approved installing six streetlights in the Windmill Plantation subdivision.

Commissioners approved appointing Waldron A. Hiley, Sr. to the Macon-Bibb County Enhancement Authority Board of Trustees.

The Board approved a resolution proclaiming November 2020 at Native American Heritage Month.

Commissioners approved transferring $23,810 within the Public Defender's Office Budget.

The Board approved $23,100 in additional funds for the Tax Assessor's Office to provide for in-person professional training requirements.

The Board of Commissions holds its meetings on the first and third Tuesday at each month with the Pre-Commission meeting at 5 p.m., and the full meeting at 6 p.m. Committee Meetings are the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month beginning at 9 a.m.
