You're invited to a Picnic in the Park! It's happening from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, at Carolyn Crayton Park (150 Willie Smokie Glover Drive). The Recreation Department is bringing nearly a dozen food trucks for the day of fun. Families can enjoy live music from Trombone Love, a 45-foot inflatable obstacle course, yard games, and some of our best local and regional food, drinks, and snacks.
"Carolyn Crayton Park is a treasure in our community and we want to celebrate its beauty by having fun," says Recreation Director Robert Walker. "This is a great way to support local businesses while enjoying our parks and giving families a fun event where they can spend time together."
