On Thursday, July 27, the Bibb County School District held a Back-to-School Safety and Security Summit for its emergency responder partners to talk about the upcoming school year. They discussed school security plans, the roles of each agency, new communication methods between agencies, areas that needed to be reviewed in the future, and more. They even walked through different scenarios that could potentially happen.
"We have the best emergency response team in the country, and that's because they meet regularly and are in constant communication to ensure that, when an emergency happens, they are all ready to respond together," says Mayor Lester Miller. "This team stands ready at all times to protect our community whenever needed."
