ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- Leslie Black, an Actress who is also a writer, recently Executive Produced her film MOMMAS that is slated to debut November 10 at the East Point Peachtree International Film Festival. Black wrote a moving but important movie that explores how Black families are affected by police violence on a deep level.
Mothers of Murdered Sons, or MOMS, gather regularly for activism and support. Janie, Jill, Sharon, and Cynthia are among these moms. The mommas' annoyance with police culture and its part in their sons' deaths erupts when a woman informs them that the district attorney has never filed charges against officers for killing their boys. To what extent would they go to prove their point?

Leslie Black, Laketa Booker, Beliria Sims, Robin Antoinette Johnson, and Taurean Cavins-Flores all make up the illustrious cast of MOMMAS. Latasha Johnson directed the movie, which also stars Amanda Rosario Glass, Challedon Saltor, James Andrews, Mario Falu, and Claude Couer.
