ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- The NAACP DeKalb County Branch will host a weekend of events leading up to National Voter's Registration Day on September 28, 2021. They encourage everyone in the Dekalb County area to come out and take part in these FREE events in preparation for the upcoming election season.

The events will kick off on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Salem Bible Church with a FREE Covid-19 vaccination drive from 10 am- 2 pm (the first 50 participants will receive a $50 gift card). On Sunday, September 26, 2021, the NAACP will be at New Birth Baptist Church with another FREE Covid-19 vaccination drive beginning at 9:30 am.

President Hardy says, "we won't let distractions like SB202 Election Integrity Act deter us from the ultimate goal, which is to let our voice be heard through the tool of "VOTING". We must be intentional about providing the best voter experience in every election. We have mobilized with several community organizations to educate and register every eligible citizen so they can be prepared for absentee voting, early voting, or in-person voting. Make your plan today and Vote your voice."
