ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gastroenterologist Dr. Christopher McGowan today announced the opening of his second endobariatric weight loss center, coming to Atlanta, GA in May. True You Weight Loss will be Georgia's first and only physician-founded medical practice exclusively focused on providing non-surgical, state-of-the-art weight loss procedures and support. The opening comes at an important time, since 42 percent of American adults are now considered obese, and studies show most adults gained even more weight during the pandemic.

Joining the new practice are Dr. Suresh Khandekar, who like Dr. McGowan is triple-board-certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and obesity medicine; and Dr. Daniel Maselli, currently an instructor of medicine and an advanced endoscopy fellow, with deep research experience in endoscopic weight loss techniques and therapies. Over the past year, the True You Weight Loss team has expanded from a staff of 3 to a staff of 33, including 3 nurse practitioners and 5 full-time nutritionists to provide patients with long-term, comprehensive care.
