Bold Men Who Have Found Victory in Telling their Most Personal Stories
MCDONOUGH, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.
-Muhammad Ali
New anthology And Still Champion features the most revealing and personal stories of seven Black men committed to pulling back the curtain and exposing the unfiltered truth about manhood. The book promises to share real talk by real men. And Still Champion is set for release on January 17th ---what would have been the 78th birthday of the World's Greatest Boxer and Champion, Muhammad Ali. It is also the day that a virtual book launch will take place to celebrate the book at 6:30p.m.
And Still Champion tells some of the most private experiences of young African American men who battle everything from drug use and molestation to finding who they truly were and how they all avoided ending up as statistics. And Still Champion is the vision of Minister, Author, Speaker and Men's Leader, Prince Blair. Prince, who contributed to the book, is also credited and known for taking young men off the streets and snatching them from the grips of gangs and a life of crime. Blair wanted to write the book to show the depth of experience settled in the silence of Black men. Blair said, "If you take time to listen, the silence of a Black man can reveal a real sense of resilience, triumph and understanding. The book was a move to inspire more men to share the things that they have long held in silence and considered disappointments, but instead have made them who they are---champions."
