ASC makes it their mission to help loved ones and their families Create New Memories
MORROW, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- Alzheimer's Service Center (ASC) will be joined by Clayton County Senior Services and Clayton County Board of Commissioners to commemorate the completion of the Revitalization Project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the newly renovated and revitalized Alzheimer's Services Center located on 7251 Mount Zion Circle, Morrow GA 30260. The dedication will take place on this Wednesday, June 8, 2022, 10:00am-12:00pm.
This program will be hosted by Sylvia Dennis-Wray, Executive Director of ASC and will mark the inaugural reopening of the center since Covid and will also serve as an opportunity to launch the center's "Revitalization" Campaign and New Brand Reveal, along with officially introducing their collaboration with Clayton County Senior Services to the community.
The project was intended to bring their facilities up to date in preparation for reopening post the Covid-19 pandemic. Work began in the last quarter of 2021 and was made possible due to an award of $365,000 ARPA Funds by Clayton County. Additionally, they were also awarded $90,000 in additional funds by Clayton County to assist with Operations to successfully prepare for reopening.

Sylvia, who oversaw this initiative, felt it would be fitting that such a celebration would occur during Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month. "We are striving to educate our community extensively regarding Alzheimer's, what it is and who it affects, and being that June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month, we saw this as the perfect opportunity to do so," says Wray. "We are celebrating milestones and want to focus on the future of the center. We are looking forward to partnering with the community as a whole to create a space where we can help loved ones 'Create New Memories".
Guests can expect a Tour of Center where they learn about our services and meet friends, partners and supporters that helped make it all possible. For those interested in supporting and attending, Please send a RSVP (http://evite.me/Yd4uH9hY6b) by June 5, to Sylvia Dennis-Wray sdenniswray@ascga.org or rsvp to http://evite.me/Yd4uH9hY6b
