COLUMBUS, Ga., Aug. 29, 2024 ~ The 2024-2025 college football season is set to begin with a bang as Aflac, the leading provider of supplemental health insurance in the U.S., announced their partnership with two of the sport's biggest names for their annual ad campaign. Nick Saban and Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders will once again team up with the iconic Aflac Duck to raise awareness about how Aflac helps hardworking Americans cover expenses that health insurance may not.
This will be the fourth consecutive year that Coach Saban and Coach Prime will be featured in Aflac's college football campaign, showcasing their commitment to educating fans about the importance of financial protection. The two coaches will star in two new commercials, reminding viewers of how Aflac can help bridge the gap between health insurance coverage and medical bills.
In their first commercial, titled "Name, Injury, Likeness," Coach Saban, Coach Prime and the Aflac Duck return to campus with a twist on the popular term "NIL" (Name, Image, Likeness). The ad sees the Aflac Duck signing both coaches to NIL deals and using flashy billboards and blimps to demonstrate how Aflac can provide big-time coverage for unexpected medical expenses. The second commercial, "Gone Fishing," shows the trio enjoying a day out on the lake while continuing to educate consumers about the impact of medical debt.

According to Garth Knutson, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Aflac, there is no better duo than Coach Saban and Coach Prime to showcase how Aflac can help protect financial well-being. He expressed gratitude for their continued partnership not just in commercials but also in spreading awareness about Aflac's services.
Aflac's annual college football campaign has become a staple in their sports marketing portfolio. In addition to launching new commercials with Coach Saban and Coach Prime, they are also gearing up for the second Aflac Kickoff Game featuring No. 14 Clemson and No. 1 Georgia on August 31st in Atlanta.
Coach Saban, who has been a part of Aflac's college football campaign for six years, expressed his commitment to the brand and their mission to educate Americans about financial protection. He also joked about the Aflac Duck having his back even in retirement.
As part of Coach Prime's return to the campaign, Aflac has deepened their partnership with the University of Colorado by becoming "The Official Coaches Headset Partner" of the Buffaloes. This means that Coach Prime and his coaching staff will be sporting custom headsets throughout the season, designed to match the team's helmets and prominently featuring the Aflac logo.
