SAVANNAH, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- The Georgia Historical Society's Georgia History Festival continues in February with a weekend of educational events for students and families in recognition of the founding of Georgia on February 12, 1733. Highlights include cannon and musket firing; blacksmithing, craft, and cooking demonstrations; Native-American life interpretations; storytelling; and period music and dance. This popular living-history program is free on Sunday, thanks to sponsorship from Gulfstream, with additional support from the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of Georgia.
