…to Expand Peer-to-Peer Support Services for TransMasculine Veterans

ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- Because of the URGENT need for access to mental health resources, GTEP is proud to announce it's partnership with TBuddy, a Black trans-led, peer-driven support network specifically created for transmasculine individuals. This collaboration will expand TBuddy's services to provide 24/7, year-round peer-to-peer support for transmasculine veterans, ensuring they have access to critical mental health care and resources at no cost.

TBuddy, which operates in 19 countries, provides accessible, affirming support through phone, text, and virtual sessions, creating safe spaces for transmasculine individuals to navigate mental health challenges, gender-affirming care, and community connection. With this partnership, TBuddy will now offer this essential support to transmasculine veterans, who often face unique challenges not addressed by traditional mental health services.

"As a Transmasculine veteran myself, I know we face unique challenges that are often overlooked in mainstream mental health services," said Dr. Elijah Nicholas, President & CEO of GTEP. "By partnering with TBuddy, we are providing trans masculine people with a space where they can connect with others who truly understand their experiences. This is about breaking down barriers, reducing stigma, and creating real, lasting change for our veterans."
