ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- The SPIN Awards is honored to announce that Gospel music legend Dorothy Norwood will be a special guest during the 10th Anniversary SPIN Awards Weekend Experience, taking place October 22–24, 2026, in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Affectionately known around the world as "Gospel's Greatest Storyteller," Dorothy Norwood has inspired generations through her unmistakable voice, heartfelt ministry, and timeless storytelling. With a professional career spanning more than seven decades, she has become one of Gospel music's most beloved and influential pioneers.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Norwood first gained national recognition as a member of the legendary Caravans before founding the Dorothy Norwood Singers and building an extraordinary solo career. Along the way, she has earned multiple Grammy Award nominations, Stellar Award recognition, recorded more than 50 albums, achieved Billboard No. 1 Gospel projects, and received numerous honors recognizing her lifelong contributions to Gospel music.

Founded in 2017, The SPIN Awards is the premier national platform dedicated exclusively to recognizing those who SPIN the Gospel through Christian Gospel Radio, including radio personalities, DJs, station owners, programmers, podcasters, and other media professionals who faithfully share the Gospel message.

The 2026 SPIN Awards Weekend Experience will feature three days of worship, fellowship, networking, educational sessions, and special celebrations, culminating with the Main Awards Ceremony on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Lawrenceville Arts Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
