CHICAGO, Sept. 16, 2024 ~ In a recent announcement, STG Logistics revealed that three of their employees have been recognized with the prestigious 2024 Women in Supply Chain Awards. These awards aim to honor female leaders and executives in the supply chain industry who have made significant contributions, served as mentors, and set an example for women at all levels of a company's supply chain network.

The three deserving winners from STG Logistics are Mercedes Pina, Nikki Driskill, and Heidi McKenna. Paul Svindland, the Chief Executive Officer of STG Logistics, expressed his pride and gratitude for having such talented and dedicated women on their team. He stated that their commitment to customers, teams, and efforts to elevate the company are truly remarkable.

Nikki Driskill, Vice President of Customer Service at STG Logistics, received two awards - the Women in Supply Chain Trailblazers award and the Workforce Innovator award. These accolades recognize female leaders who pave the way for future women in logistics. With over twenty-six years of experience in the industry, Driskill started her career as a logistics specialist and has since then adapted to major changes that have transformed the logistics sector.

Heidi McKenna, Vice President of People at STG Logistics, was honored with the DEI and Supply Chain Award. She also received an Outstanding Acknowledgement in the DEI Pioneer category for her efforts in creating and executing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the company. Under McKenna's leadership in 2023, employees invested over 3,380 hours in training programs aimed at increasing inclusivity. She also introduced a diversity holiday that grants employees eight hours to commemorate diversity in a way that resonates with them.

Mercedes Pina, Vice President of Client Services and Expedited Pricing at STG Logistics, was recognized with the Rising Star award. This award celebrates young professionals (39 years old or younger) whose achievements have shaped the supply chain network. Pina's growth within the company is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and problem-solving skills. She played a crucial role in developing STG's Account Management division while maintaining strong customer relationships and managing top accounts.

Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Co-Founder of the Women in Supply Chain Forum, expressed her amazement at the quality of submissions for this year's awards. She stated that these women are making remarkable contributions to their communities, organizations, and teams, paving the way for future female leaders in the industry. This year's awards were divided into four categories - Rising Stars, Trailblazers, DEI Pioneer, and Workforce Innovator - with an overall winner and four honorable mentions in each category.
