ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- Jim West, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TopCyberPro.com, keynoted at EC-Council's 14th Annual Global CISO Forum on Oct. 30. The forum, known for its invite-only attendee list, gathers the highest-level executives from a breadth of industries and countries to discuss emerging technologies, recent trends, and challenges in the field of information security.
West spoke on his white paper, "Beyond the CIA Triad," covering the nine core security principles in cybersecurity and their application to any industry. These principles are designed to meet and exceed the needs of any organization's risk appetite, aid leaders in vendor/product selections, identify security gaps, and more accurately address real-world requirements before acquiring products, solutions, and tools.
"Cybersecurity has evolved far beyond the traditional CIA Triad. At this year's Global CISO Forum, I'll dive into how organizations can embrace a more holistic approach to securing their infrastructure by focusing on the nine core security principles. We can better align security strategies with real-world threats and business needs to minimize risks in an increasingly complex landscape."
