Veterans for America First aka Veterans for Trump calls on Georgia legislatures to pass SB 222 regarding primaries and elections prohibiting Zuckerberg type funding. VFAF President Stan Fitzgerald announces.
ACWORTH, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- Veterans for America First aka Veterans for Trump calls on Georgia legislatures to pass SB222 regarding primaries and elections prohibiting Zuckerberg type funding. Also making the State Election Board independent of the Secretary of State.
In January 2023 it came to the attention of MARCI MCCARTHY, Dekalb Chair and VFAF endorsed candidate, that the DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections office had indirectly received funding from a third party in a violation of the spirit of Georgia's Elections Integrity Act 2021 (often referred to as SB202). McCarthy took action to have this illegal funding investigated by the elections board, which on 2-24-23 was confirmed by Fox news as an open investigation, into 2 million from Zuckerberg funded groups. The Georgia State Senate was currently working on a bill to improve SB202 and based on McCarthy's effort the senate included language to close the loophole used by the Zuckerberg group.

The Georgia Senate Ethics Committee passed SB222 on February 27, 2023 ---a bill that prohibits the outside influence in Georgia's elections and has been called by the Heritage Action "a blueprint for stopping 3rd party money from influencing our elections."
This bill had passed 8-6 to the Rules committee but was sent back to Governmental Affairs today.
"SB222 is of national significance, we encourage Georgia citizens to push to get it passed before the end of this legislative cycle next week," said Angie Wong Veterans for Trump national media rep.
"Marci McCarthy has taken the lead for Georgia on this and we are here to support the effort," said Jared Craig President of Georgia state chapter, Veterans for America First.
Cooper Guyon, Veterans for Trump Ambassador, who works at the Georgia State Capital for the senate majority leader, also supports the bill.
