ATLANTA, July 23, 2024 ~ Zaxbys, a popular chicken chain, has announced the appointment of Chris Kung as its new Chief Digital Officer. Kung will be responsible for leading the company's Loyalty and e-Commerce initiatives, as well as driving transformation and acceleration within these areas. He officially joined the company on July 15 and will report directly to Zaxbys' Chief Executive Officer, Bernard Acoca.
According to Acoca, Zaxbys' rapid expansion requires the investment of world-class leaders and resources. He believes that Kung's expertise in e-Commerce and loyalty programs will help drive incremental growth and enhance the overall customer experience as digital touchpoints continue to play a significant role in the customer journey. Acoca also stated that Kung's arrival will allow Zaxbys to build stronger relationships with their guests by gaining a deeper understanding of their needs and rewarding their patronage with personalized experiences.
Kung brings over 20 years of innovation and strategy experience to his new role at Zaxbys. Prior to joining the company, he served as Chief Digital Officer at Dollar General where he led initiatives that transformed the company into a digital innovator.
