ATLANTA - GeorgiaChron -- Atlanta Soccer News (ASN) and Tochelle Media Group are collaborating on a new approach to covering soccer in metro Atlanta and across the Southeast. The teams are developing a mix of written reporting, interviews and video stories about the people and communities that make the game part of everyday life in the region.

The work builds on ASN's coverage of Georgia soccer, from youth academies, high schools and colleges to adult leagues and professional teams. Tochelle Media Group brings experience in video production, interviews, filmed storytelling and live-event content. Together, the teams are exploring how those strengths can bring more voices and perspectives into local soccer coverage.

A central idea discussed by the teams is an English and Spanish content series connecting soccer with Atlanta's Latino communities and the city's wider culture. Potential stories include profiles of players and coaches, conversations with families and supporters, and coverage of the local businesses and gathering places that bring people together around the sport.

The teams are also exploring short videos and on-site interviews that can capture the atmosphere of matches and community events. Youth soccer and grassroots programs are part of those discussions, along with stories that show how soccer connects neighborhoods across metro Atlanta. As the format develops, ASN and Tochelle intend to look for stories with relevance beyond the city throughout the Southeast.

Atlanta will be the starting point. ASN was founded there by Quique Lopez in 1991 and has spent decades following the growth of soccer in Georgia. The collaboration reflects a shared interest in covering the game through the people who play it, organize it and show up for it each week.
