CARTERSVILLE, Ga. - GeorgiaChron -- CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — October 29, 2026 — Houston-born poet and rapper Clizzy Houston will take the stage for a solo set at Poetry In The Park on Saturday, October 31, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Historic Downtown Cartersville Square, 1 Friendship Plaza. The event is the outdoor season finale of the live performance series presented by Jackson Park, with an evening of poetry, R&B, hip hop, and acoustic music under the fall sky — and Clizzy is not coming to blend in. Expect a lyric-first performance built for people who actually listen. A self-described "pen-musician" — poet first, rapper second — Clizzy Houston has built a reputation as one of the sharpest writers in any room he steps into: stacked rhyme schemes, layered entendres, and lines that keep working long after the song ends. Saturday night there are no gimmicks — just Clizzy, a microphone, and a catalog built to be quoted. "Poetry In The Park respects real penmanship, and so do I," said Clizzy Houston. "I'm bringing a solo set with presence — bars people will still be repeating on the ride home. Cartersville, let's close the season the right way." Originally from Houston, Texas and now based in Georgia, Clizzy's catalog includes the 2020 album Man Of The Hour Vol. 1. He is also one half of the duo 24:16, alongside Hylyda; their album It Was Already Written is slated for release via Roc Nation distribution.
